Tory Lanez is still defending himself against haters on the decision to release his album in the wake of the Megan Thee Stallion shooting and wants the world to know, the date is actually special to him.

The 'I Say' rapper took to Instagram to continue to explain his actions and claims he wasn't using the ongoing investigation into the shooting of MTS as an opening to promote and sell his album.

The rapper says the date, September 25, is actually his mother's birthday AND the day that she passed away.

"9/25 my mother's birthday, the day she passed away, the day the album dropped #daystar," Tory posted on IG.

The statement comes after the rapper received TONS of criticism for promoting the moment like he was going to finally reveal his side of the story. Instead, while everyone awaited his explanation, he simply dropped the album.

Turns out, some of the details of that night are discussed in his lyrics, but nothing concrete has come out about who pulled the trigger and why?

"You be speaking up saying the right things after the fact. Your timing Tory. Work on your timing ???," one fan wrote about his decision.

"Tory Lanez chose September 25th to release Daystar on the anniversary of the day his mother, Luella Peterson died-which was also her birthday. A portion of profits from the album will be donated to organizations supporting women, children, and victims of violence as well as the Breonna Taylor Foundation," a rep for the rapper said following the album release.

But, it appears Tory wanted to double down on his statement and clarify how important the date was to him and his family.

"God Bless her soul, Tory. I stand with you," a fan reacted to his post.

Tory Lanez took major shots from celebrities like Rick Ross, who was NOT happy with his decision to release the album while be accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion.

"Tory Lanez, poor decision brother dropping this project. Just out of respect for Breonna Taylor. Just out of respect for Breonna Taylor bro. We gotta respect these sisters. It ain't how you address the accusations," Ross said.

The rapper clapped back, "Rick Ross, I respect u 2 much as a black man to disrespect you in these times, however, I went out and marched 9 days straight for Breonna Taylor...IN YOUR CITY...I didn't see the "boss" out there once?"

As we reported, Ross then trolled Lanez -- buying him a tiny smart car -- in an obvious dig on his size.
