Tori Spelling's Husband Dean Fights Fans Trashing Actress Over $95 Meet-And-Greet

Tori Spelling’s husband Dean McDermott is coming to her defense after the actress was attacked for hawking $95 virtual meet-and-greets.

Dean posted a video on his Instagram telling trolls to stop trashing his wife. Tori recently caught heat for promoting the online meet-and-greet with fans. Many believed it was the wrong time to be hawking expensive tickets during the current health situation.

Tori’s husband felt differently saying, 'There are numerous celebrities out there that post stuff, and influencers and they're out there making money every single day, but no, let's drag Tori Spelling, let's give her a hard time.”

He continued, “'I'm really disappointed because she's catching flack and being dragged for doing a live meet-and-greet.'

Dean said Tori didn’t even come up with the idea and was presented it by a company. He said Tori is without work like everyone else and attempting to make money at home.

He finished by defending Tori more, “'My wife is one of the hardest working women in the business, OK? And she is simply providing for her family.”

Earlier this month, Tori was ripped by fans after posting a link for a virtual meet-and-greet that cost $95. per ticket

The “90210” actress promoted the “first-ever virtual meet and greet” with only 20 spots available. Fans will be able to take “virtual selfies” with Tori after paying for the ticket.Tori wrote, “Can’t wait to do my first ever virtual meet and greet Thursday, April 9 at 5pm PDT. Only 20 spots available so reserve your spot now.”

The link took fans to a website for a company named Looped, which hosts virtual meet and greets for celebrities. The company describes itself as, “a platform where you video chat live with your favorite talent. That includes musicians, actors, athletes, influencers, politicians, gamers, and more. Anytime and anywhere in the world. Live, 1-on-1, 2-way conversations that lead to real connections”

As Page Six reported, fans were quick to criticize Tori for charging fans for the meet and greet during hard times. One fan said, “Of course it’s $95 because during a Pandemic we all have that to spare what a bummer…”

As The Blast previously reported, Tori and her husband Dean have been facing financial hardship for years. They recently were accused of refusing to pay up on a $90,000 court judgment owed to American Express Bank. The Sun reported, American Express Bank recently went to court to try and collect on money owed by Tori.
