Tom & Gisele's Donation

With the spread of coronavirus continuing, many are giving their time and money to offset the damage however they can. Former Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and his wife supermodel Gisele Bundchen are doing their part in their new town of Tampa, Florida, by donating 750,000 meals to the food bank, Feeding Tampa Bay. The organization tweeted out their gratitude.

"We welcome @TomBrady, @giseleofficial and their family to our community and thank them as they #StandwithFTB by providing 750,000 meals to support our children, families and seniors throughout the 10 - county region that we serve. RT to show gratitude to the Brady family!"

The total monetary amount was not divulged to the public, but the meals will be used to feed children, families and seniors in a 10-county region. With people losing jobs due to COVID-19, Feeding Tampa Bay has reported a 40% increase in demand in recent weeks.

It's good to see Brady working to better his new community now that he'll be playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers instead of the New England Patriots in the coming season (whenever that may be). Brady posted a heartfelt video thanking his Patriots family on Instagram, effectively ending that chapter of his life.

Celebrities React To COVID-19

It's been interesting to see how celebrities react to the threat of COVID-19, with some doing their best to provide money and resources for good causes, like Lady Gaga's work in raising $35 million dollars to fight coronavirus and also organizing an online concert to raise even more.

You've also got celebrities like John Krasinski starting a Youtube series called Some Good News in order to highlight feel-good stories and wonderful things happening in spite of all of the awfulness.

However, there are plenty of misguided choices as well, like Gal Gadot's cringe-inducing "Imagine" singalong and Ellen Degeneres joking from her multi-million dollar mansion that " being in quarantine is that people — this is like being in jail, is what it is. It’s mostly because I’ve been wearing the same clothes for 10 days and everyone in here is gay. "

Even with some missteps, it's been good to see celebs use their wealth and influence for good in these difficult times. Celebs like Lizzo and Miley Cyrus are working to ensure that healthcare workers are being fed, with Cyrus also working with MAC Cosmetics to donate $10 million to relief organizations.

It's good to see Brady and Bundchen joining the ranks of celebs making a difference, even if New England will never forgive him for leaving them for sunny Florida.
