Kyle Chrisley, 27, was on the “Chrisley Confessions” podcast to explain his recent hospital visit, saying medication he was on gave him a “bad side effect.”
“I take medication and I had a bad side effect to it and I tried to take my own life,” Kyle said. “With the meds, I got all kinds of crazy thinking going on.”
The “Chrisley Knows Best” star spoke out on the matter with his dad Todd Chrisley.
“Well, I think some of the medications they put you on — that you had not been on — one of the side effects is suicidal tendencies and we’re now off of that,” Todd Chrisley said.
“Yes, we’re off of that,” said Kyle.
Last week, Todd Chrisley shared a picture of Kyle in the hospital, writing under the photo:
“NOT TODAY SATAN, NOT TODAY… God shows up and shows out, now won’t he do it? Kyle is great and we are back to the grind.”
Kyle has also stood up for his parents amid their tax-evasion charges, making an about-face from his statements back in 2017, when he said his father made a point of saying that he didn’t pay taxes.
In 2017, Kyle said this:
“I’ve seen all the stories about my dad’s indictment all over the internet. I know the interview I did bashing my dad OVER A YEAR AGO is being shared on social media. Honestly, I’m tired of it. You guys don’t have the facts and I need to set the record straight once and for all.”
“Everything I said in my interview was a lie. These allegations against my dad are all LIES!”
