Hollywood is all about women helping women right now and that will be on full display at Sunday's Golden Globes.
Multiple sources tell The Blast that Reese Witherspoon, Jessica Chastain and Eva Longoria — and many other prominent faces of the Time's Up movement — will all walk the red carpet with other women by their side.
We're told Witherspoon and Longoria will walk the carpet together and Chastain will appear with another actress friend of hers. Our sources say as many as 10 women will walk with other women.
According to our sources, several of the women will bring their husbands or boyfriends to the Globes, but they won't be doing interviews alongside their significant others.
Time's Up is a new initiative launched by hundreds of Hollywood's fierce females that aims to protect any woman facing sexual harassment in the workplace. The collective provides a legal defense fund, fights for inclusion in the workforce and is renewing the push for equality with 50/50 by 2020.
Time's Up has also been encouraging women to wear black to the event, with Longoria telling the New York Times, "This is a moment of solidarity, not a fashion moment. For years, we’ve sold these awards shows as women, with our gowns and colors and our beautiful faces and our glamour. This time the industry can’t expect us to go up and twirl around. That’s not what this moment is about."
Walking arm-in-arm with fellow females and opting for black dresses on the red carpet are just a few examples solidarity that will be happening during this upcoming award season but, we're told, the goal is to raise awareness about Time's Up and for people to donate to the fund.
