Lindsay Lohan Would Never Join Paris Hilton for 'The Simple Life' Reboot

Lindsay Lohan is laughing off the rumors she planned to join her frenemy Paris Hilton for a reboot of “The Simple Life”

Sources close to Lohan tell The Blast, the actress had not even heard about the talk over her joining an alleged reboot of the classic FOX reality show.

Rumors started swirling when a supposed verified Twitter account for “The Simple Life” suddenly became active and sending out tweets. The account then tweeted emojis of a blonde girl with a red-headed woman, leading many to think Lohan and Hilton were uniting on a new project.

Sources close to Lohan tell us she was never asked to join, nor would she accept such an offer to team up with Hilton.

The account that was tweeting out messages also later lost its verification, and it's unclear who was behind keyboard.

“The Simple Life” was on the forefront of the reality TV game, with Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie starring on the series from 2003 until 2007. The socialites were thrown into odd jobs like fast-food restaurants, camp counselors or good ol' farm work.

Instead of taking it backwards, we're told Lohan is currently working on running her businesses while "focusing on herself" at the moment.

She recently walked away from her own MTV reality show “Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club.”

Even though there were reports MTV pulled the plug, the actress is adamant she just wasn't interested in doing another season.

She also felt producers were overstepping their boundaries and wanted her family involved, including mother Dina, sister Ali and brothers Michael Jr. and Dakota, which was never the plan.

Lohan took issue with producers wanting to create drama and invent storylines, including asking her to film therapy sessions. Sources close to Lindsay told us she feels her life is drama-free and has been for some time.

The former "Parent Trap" star wants to make sure remains free of drama did not feel it was healthy to participate in fake drama for television.

We're told Lohan is planning on relocating her beach club to Athens, which is slated to open this summer, and MTV had issues with moving their shooting location from Mykonos.
