The Game made it clear that his love for the late Kobe Bryant is no game.

The rapper shared his new ink on Instagram on Wednesday and he chose to immortalize Bryant with a tatt of his number over his left eyebrow. Game was all decked out in Lakers' gear, complete with a purple hoodie, as he took the painful body modification like a champ. It's unclear why he went with the number 8 instead of 24 but we think it means that the game has been a Kobe fan since the beginning. Kobe wore number 8 for the first half of his career before switching to number 24 for the latter half.

"♾ F O R E V E R," he captioned his post.

It was reported that he got the 8 sideways to convey the infinity sign and represent, "Kobe forever."

Interestingly enough, Game did not get the ink in his hometown of Compton or anywhere else in Los Angeles. He stopped by a tattoo show in Glasgow, Scottland right before he took the stage at the O2 Arena. The local tattoo artist was stoked to serve up his art so prominently on the famous rappers face. "I can’t believe I’ve had the honour to tattoo the @losangelesconfidential The Game," the artist, Sile Sanda wrote on Instagram.

LeBron James also immortalized Bryant with body ink but he didn't go with a face tattoo. The NBA great showed off his ink which featured both numbers and a large snake to go with Kobe's nickname, Black Mamba. In addition to the tatt, James shared a sweet photo of himself resting his head on Bryant's shoulder.

"My brother ♾ #Mamba4Life #RIPKobe #RIPGiGi," he captioned his post.

Like The Game, LeBron used the infinity sign in his post to express that Kobe and the victims of the helicopter crash will not be forgotten.

Without taking anything away from The Game's new piece, face tattoos are definitely the new trend for 2020. Chris Brown just debuted his new ink recently which is a giant Air-Jordan sneaker on the right side of his face but he isn't the only one that took the big body art step. In a surprising turn of events, Cindy Crawford's model son, Presley Gerber got the word "MISUNDERSTOOD" inked on his right cheek.

Post Malone got a bloody buzzsaw inked on his cheek but, like The Game, face tattoos are not a new thing for him. Still, it is interesting that so many celebs are inking their face. We guess that's how you know you truly made it.
