In the report, Tekashi wants to make it clear his 'overdose' was NOT connected to any drug use -- not only because he doesn't use drugs -- but, he is on strict probation for his criminal case and is not allowed to consume them anyways.

He says if so, he would be immediately locked back up in prison.

According to Shade Room, the original report of Tekashi's hospitalization came from a site called Gossip In The City, and they confirmed the information and spoke to the rapper detailing the dramatic situation.

Tekashi did not elaborate on what the 'overdose' entailed or how he ended up being hospitalized after the incident. Plus, it's unclear how bad the situation is at this point, or if he has been released.

We broke the story, it appeared Tekashi was considering settling down after being spotted in upstate New York looking at multi-million dollar real estate.

Leading up to the hospitalization, Tekashi was on a spree of dangerous promotion for his new album which included popping up in different cities throughout the U.S. -- trolling individuals and gang members who may be looking for retaliation.

In the end, it sounds like the rapper is OK, and it's unclear if he will address the incident any further.
