Tekashi 6ix9ine Reveals SHOCKING New Collaboration With Rapper Akon -- You Gotta Hear This!

Tekashi 6ix9ine just pulled another trick out of his sleeves, revealing a new collaboration with one of the most famous rappers in the world, Akon.
Tekashi 69 just shared a video on Instagram of him and the rapper listening to a new version of Akon's hit 'Locked Up' -- with the verses updated with Tekashi's life story.
As you can imagine, fans are going NUTS over the announcement of such a high profile collaboration -- and now the rainbow rapper is letting his fans in on the decision on whether or not to include the track on his album.

"100,000 comments if you want this ❤️????LOCKED UP PART 2 IM ON ALBUM MODE ??? THIS ALBUM GOING CRAZYYYYYYY ??? @akon," he captioned the video.
It's insane! In the video, Akon is actually sitting with Tekashi inside of his home and listening to the new track. Unbelievably, the duo is actually mouthing the words to the new track...together!!
As you know, many of Tekashi's fans believed his first collaboration since being released from prison might be with Nicki Minaj -- but this many are saying this one is WAY better!

Another added, "THE LEGEND @akon ??"
At this point, the only backlash the duo is getting is for messing with such a classic song. 'Locked Up' is the hit that put Akon on the map.
Also, the obvious question is if Akon will catch any heat from the rap industry for working with Tekashi 6ix9ine. So far, so good. It appears people are saying the remix is fire, and no one has come out questioning his decision.
"Yo just keep refreshing and the numbers are blasting??" one fan posted after seeing the reaction on Instagram to the song.
Just a reminder, 'Locked Up' was released in 2004 and reached the Top 10 on Billboard's hot 100 music chart. So, its a pretty good place to start a remix track!
Listen closely to the lyrics in the remix, Tekashi is using the famous song to tell his story of entering the rap game and ultimately getting arrested in connection with Blood gang activity.

In the end, the initial reaction to the track is that it could be a hit! Many of the fans are begging Tekashi to release it ASAP.
The only heat the rainbow rapper is getting in the video is the rainbow wig he is wearing! He is getting lit up in the comment section for his new hairstyle! -- "Give Jade her wig back bro!!! ???" one person wrote.
