'Teen Mom' Star Mackenzie McKee Breaks Silence On Mom's Death

"Teen Mom" star Mackenzie McKee is addressing fans over her mother Angie Douthit's death for the first time just hours after it was revealed she had passed. Sharing an emotional post on social media, the MTV reality personality spoke out on Tuesday in regards to losing her mom after she succumbed to her two year battle with cancer. In the lengthy statement, Mackenzie McKee stated her desire to see her mom again by writing, "Idk what I will do without you but I hope this goes by fast so I can hurry and come be with you."

Breaking Her Silence:


Showing off a proud moment of Angie's life, when she crossed a finish line for a breast cancer race, the "Teen Mom" star began her message by writing, "Momma @angiedouthit has crossed the finish line. She did not lose the battle, she one. She is healed and running in heaven in eternity." Mackenzie McKee then turned focus to her mom's faith and religion. "Your entire life you never waisted a chance to let the world know Gods love. When we would try to brag on what an amazing person you are you would respond with 'it’s not me, it’s God' Could you imagine this world if we all lived like Angie Douthit," she continued. "She always said 'it’s easy, we were put on earth to share Gods love.' And boy did she."

Making Promises:


In Mackenzie McKee's heartfelt post, she addressed Angie directly. "Momma, i did not deserve you. But you loved me so unconditionally. You were the glue that held me together. The one who always believed in me," she wrote. "Idk what I will do without you but I hope this goes by fast so I can hurry and come be with you." She ended her message by promising to keep her mom's faith alive. "You passed a torch down to us and I will not fail you. I will live for Christ and love like him like you always taught me. I will make you proud momma," she stated.

Several of the star's Instagram followers commented on her post with sentiment and encouraging words. "I am so very sorry for your loss. You can tell what a beautiful person she was. You and your children now have a beautiful angel," one wrote. "So sorry for your loss!!! Stay strong and keep your head up. No words can help take away your pain but just know she will always be looking down on you and guiding you through all those obstacles in life. Thinking of you and your family," added another. "Thinking of you all! Your mother was a true inspiration, she showed more strength than I knew possible. Stay strong," commented a third.

Angie's Battle:


As The Blast reported, Angie Douthit's family shared the news about her death on Tuesday, just one day after she passed. Sharing a post, they revealed, “On Monday, December 9 at 11:37pm, Angie finished her race. Her last days were spent lovingly surrounded by family and friends as they prayed, sang, and shared funny Angie stories.” Mackenzie McKee and her mom had been keeping fans in the loop on her health and recently revealed her cancer had grown in her liver and brain. Angie also said there was some hemorrhaging in the brain. Over the weekend, Mackenzie Mckee asked for fans to pray for her mother.
