“Teen Mom” star Mackenzie McKee‘s husband Josh McKee is finally opening up about the rumors he had an affair with her cousin following her mother’s death. Josh addressed the cheating accusations over the weekend, one month after Mackenzie exposed the secret. Taking to Instagram, Josh posted a cryptic picture reading, “Better worry about your own sins, cause God ain’t gonna ask you about mine.” He then captioned the shot by mocking the situation writing, “I’m just here for the comments ?♂️??.”
While this was already enough to get “Teen Mom” fans talking, he took it a step further when he commented, “People, I’ve been through the ringer being on that damn show, this is nothing new to me. I get it you all are pissed at the fact of what you read on the internet or seen on TV. “Ok”? But if you are going to come at me with what little you all really know, know your damn facts! And know that this is not a one sided ball game?.”
Fans immediately took Mackenzie’s side. “Why do you continuously cheat on your wife? Just curious ?♀️,” one person asked in the comment section. “But it was her COUSIN,” added another. “Don’t try seeking attention when you don’t deserve it. If you want the attention because you ruined your family then here it is,” responded a third. The messy backstory goes like this: in a since-deleted Facebook post, Josh’s wife claimed she discovered he cheated by going through his call log and text history.
“I know many have it worse than me. This isn’t a pity party,” she wrote. “Life has really thrown me some huge curve balls. Idk how I’ve made it here.”
Reminding everyone that he strayed prior to his alleged affair with her cousin, she added, “Obviously the world knows Josh had an affair last year, and then months later repurposed promising he changed and got ‘saved.’ It really made my mom happy and I chose to forgive, and trust God.” Mackenzie then went on to explain how everything changed after her mother’s death.
Saying that following two weeks after her mom’s passing, his behavior took a turn. “All of a sudden I was a freak for crying and being depressed,” she wrote in the May post. So, she “made the random decision to pull Josh’s call and text logs. To find out that one week after my mom died, when he started leaving and changing his behavior, to find he was texting a woman 3-600 times per month and calling her on these nights he was ‘fishing’ until 3 a.m.” That’s when she discovered the unthinkable. “Obviously another affair. So, I go to call the number and it was my close cousin,” Mackenzie alleged.
