The situation stems from an incident where Portwood allegedly pulled a machete on her baby daddy. The reality star was charged with domestic battery, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and a felony domestic battery.

After Portwood’s arrest, Glennon sued her for paternity and custody. He wanted to have primary custody with her having supervised visitation. Glennon originally asked the court for permission to move to California with their son. Portwood objected to the request demanding her kid stay in Indiana. He would eventually drop his motion to move outside the state.

Portwood and Glennon reached a temporary deal where he will live in Indiana until a decision is made at a future hearing.

Prior to her sentencing, Portwood spoke to fans on her Instagram. She wrote, “Love you guys and please smile through all the pain. It will be ok one day! Sending love always no matter what🙏”
