Teddi Mellencamp may have just won the Instagram caption game when she shared an adorable pic of her famous father holding her newborn daughter.

The "Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills" star posted a pic of grampa John Mellencamp cradling her daughter Dove. The famous rocker lovingly stared at the sleeping baby as he held the swaddled newborn. The photo was beyond cute but her caption made this one of the coolest posts of 2020.

"She wasn’t born in a small town and she won’t grow up in a small town but she loves when Peepaw comes to visit her in the big town. 💕 🕊 #dovelove," Teddi wrote in the caption of her post.

For those of you that are not familiar with her father's work, the caption is a play off one of his most famous songs, "Small Town." The real lyrics are: "Well I was born in a small town And I live in a small town Probably die in a small town Oh, those small communities."

Teddi's fans were also blown away by the legendary pic and left sweet messages to the star.

Being A Mom Ain't Easy

This is not Teddi's first rodeo when it comes to children, she shares son, Cruz, and daughter, Slate with husband, Edwin Arroyave but being a mom means making sacrifices. Mellencamp recently joked that baby Dove is making it hard to catch up on her favorite Netflix shows.

"Only thing I’m going ALL IN on is not allowing Mommy to finish Love is Blind. 🕊 #dovelove #10daysold," Teddi joked in the caption of her recent post.

It's a tough job but somebody has to do it.

Keeping It Real

Teddi did her best to make her "postpartum reality" less taboo and while the miracle of childbirth is beautiful, she recently detailed some complications that are not so pretty.

"My Day 3 postpartum reality: It is unbelievable, unconditional love. It is an incredibly powerful bond that Dove and I share. It is tears of joy watching Edwin light up when he’s with her. It is bursting with pride watching my older kids gently, lovingly & eagerly jump into their new found big sibling roles," Teddi said before getting into the challenges she is currently facing.

"It is very little sleep because, let’s be real, is 'sleep when the baby is sleeping' actually a thing? It is knowing that feeling delirious will be the new norm for a while. It is humbling, to say the least - switching from the mesh “mom diaper” with ice from the hospital to high waisted compression panties at home. It is drinking way too much prune juice with crushed ice because you are anxiously awaiting the first post-baby 💩. "

Mellencamp, who is all about body positivity and being healthy, expressed that she is coming to terms with her post-baby body emotionally and shared her feelings with fans.

"It is embracing and loving this body of mine. It is lots of laughs when Cruz asks why my stomach hasn’t deflated. It is a flood of emotions when multiple lactation specialists tell you that only your right breast is able to breast feed the baby due to scarring on the left," she explained.

"It is trying to calm your mind when you are continuously running all the hypotheticals of every scenario in your head. It is a constant reminder to live in the moment and feel all the highs and lows that a new baby brings. It is the simultaneous notion of wanting to slow down while still feeling the need to rearrange and organize the entire house. It is doing your best to not compare your journey to anyone else’s. It is overwhelming gratitude for each friend and family member who shows up without judgement, only to bring you love & food. It is a constant roller coaster & I wouldn’t change it for the world."

Teddi ended her powerful statement by declaring her undying love for Dove.

"My baby girl is here and I love her more than words can say. We each have our own journey and this is mine 💕🕊 #postpartum."
