Taylor Swift Bypasses Her Archenemies Kimye As World's Highest-Paid Celebrity

By Whitney Vasquez

Taylor Swift just got a double dose of victory -- she was named the world's highest-paid celebrity AND she bypassed her famous archenemies Kanye West and Kim Kardashian in the process.

The "You Need to Calm Down" singer was just given the title by Forbes on Wednesday and she won by a landslide.

Swift pulled in $185 million, according to the 2019 list, which is a whole lot higher than Kanye or Kim.

The singer's 2019 income has a lot to do with her “Reputation” stadium tour last year, which brought in a whopping $266.1 million and broke the record for the highest-grossing tour in US history.

Kanye didn't even nab the second spot -- that went to his sister-in-law, Kylie Jenner.

The billionaire's lucrative cosmetics company has helped the young mogul come close to Swift, with Kylie's earnings sitting at $170 million.

According to Forbes, Kanye West brought in $150 million for his family last year.

Impressive, but not even close to Swift.

His wife, Kim Kardashian, falls way down the list at #26.

Shockingly, Forbes has her earnings at $72 million.

With her successful cosmetics line, perfume line, "KUWTK" show and several other endeavors, her ranking seems almost unbelievable -- but remember, that's just for last year.

We all remember the drama that enfolded between Taylor Swift and Kanye West stemming from the 2009 VMAs.

That painful "Imma let you finish" will haunt us for the rest of our lives. Their issues exploded years later following his single "Famous" on his "The Life of Pablo" album.

It turned out to be a "he-said, she-said" until Kim got involved and released a 45-second phone call that was recorded documenting Kanye's phone call with Swift.

Kim also gave famously gave her the nickname "snake" without actually saying she was referring to Swift.

The singer has since released singles throwing shade at the famous couple with songs like "Look What You Made Me Do."

Swifties and Kimye followers have long been at odds, so this counts as a small victory for Taylor's mega-fans.

Besides Taylor, Kylie, Kanye and Kim, the list is a little disappointing with only 16 women on it.

Here's a few more highest-earners:

Lionel Messi nabbed the fourth spot at $150 million. Ed Sheeran is named #5 with $110 million and Beyonce ranks 20th with $81 million.
