Tan Mom is currently in the hospital recovering from major hip surgery this week.
Tan Mom’s rep, Adam Barta, tells The Blast, the ‘Howard Stern Show’ regular/singer underwent a full hip replacement surgery after suffering a “debilitating hip injury” earlier this year.
Tan Mom (real name: Patricia Krentcil) had successful surgery on Thursday and has been recovering in a local Tampa hospital.
Barta tells us, “This came after weeks of immobility and pain which left the Tan Mom unable to perform or complete any public engagements.”
As The Blast previously reported, Tan Mom faced a series of health issues last year. She was placed in a medically induced coma after suffering a severe bout of pneumonia, which left her lungs incapacitated for a period of time. Things got quite serious for a moment but she was able to fully recover.
After Tan Mom bounced back from pneumonia, she was able to perform months later. She took the stage for a Christmas concert at Club Cumming in New York City.
Earlier this week, Howard Stern announced Tan Mom will be released a new single called “#Glossy” with Barta and producer Electropoint this Spring. The song will premiere on Stern’s show along with a video special.
Krentcil tells The Blast, “At this point I’ve been back so many times, even I’ve lost count. My goal is to become the bionic woman at some point. I’ve got enough metal parts in me now to pull it off!”
Tan Mom had this motivational message for her fans heading into the New Year, “Good morning are you beginning and I hope everyone had a happy holiday looking forward to with the new great year you’re all the best have an awesome day Patricia Marie???”
Krentcil spoke to The Blast after waking up from her medically induced coma. She told us at the time, “Thank you all the fans for their love and support. Thank you also to all my friends at The Blast for the concern and caring throughout this week.”
