Tamar Braxton sent a chilling suicide threat to several family members in the hours leading up to her hospitalization -- and in the message, she makes it clear, "the only way I see out is death."

In the heartbreaking message, obtained by The Blast, Tamar drafted a tweet which it appears she was preparing to push out to the world -- but instead decided to send it to several family members instead.

In the message, Braxton refers to herself as a 'slave' and says she is being punished for trying to free herself from the situation she is currently living in.

"I am a slave. I do not own my life. My stories. My pictures. My thoughts or beliefs. I’ve asked my massa to free me. I’m threatened and punished for it," the message begins.

She continued, "The only way I see out is death. I will choose that before I continue to love (sic) like this. Please help me (praying hands emoji)."

The tweet never went live.

As you can see, the alarming message was taken as a direct suicide threat by her family members and sparked an immediate reaction from them and boyfriend, David Adefesco.

We broke the story, David found girlfriend Tamar unconscious in the Ritz-Carlton Residences in downtown Los Angeles and says she had consumed alcohol and an unknown amount of prescription medication.

We're told David believed Tamar had followed through on her threat and attempted to take her own life, so he called 911.

LAPD confirmed to The Blast, they received a call at around 9:45 pm of a 43-year-old female who was suffering from a medical emergency. Tamar was rushed to an L.A. area hospital, and was treated for a 'possible overdose.'

A source close to the situation, tells The Blast, Tamar has threatened suicide several times in the past year, so her family took this incident very seriously.

"Tamar has had a very tough and emotional day -- more information will be coming in the next few days. Please pray for her," a rep. for the reality star told us.

News of Braxton's hospitalization comes a day after the release of the trailer for her new show, 'Get Ya Life,' was released to the media. We're told Tamar was not happy with its contents and was in a massive contract dispute with We TV.

Several celebrities including Viola Davis, have sent messages of prayer for the reality star -- and her fans are flooding her social media pages with support.
