Towanda decided to take part in the viral #challenegeaccepted which is women posting black and white photos in support of other women. She posted a photo with her sisters Tamar, Toni, Traci, and Trina.
She captioned the post, “#challengeaccepted I was pondering on what photo to post….or if I was going to post at all. As I was searching through my photos, I realized I wouldn’t be the woman I am today without these amazing women. We love each other, we support each other and we lean on each other through thick and thin. Thank you @glowskinenhancement @theskingodd @haleyeahmusic @shontellmcclain @mygirl318 and @unpredictable_leo for this challenge. I know it took me a moment to post but I thank you for thinking of me. I believe in sisterhood! As The Blast first reported, earlier this month, Tamar was rushed to the hospital after being found unresponsive by her boyfriend David.
David found Tamar inside their apartment at the Ritz Carlton Residences in Downtown Los Angeles. He told the dispatcher he believed Tamar had been drinking and had taken an unknown amount of prescription pills. He believed she might have been trying to kill herself with the combination. LAPD confirmed to The Blast, they received a call around 9:45 P.M. in regard to a 43-year-old female who had a medical emergency listed as a “possible overdose.”
Tamar has been making improvements since first being hospitalized. Sources told The Blast, Tamar is alert and responsive inside the hospital. She was recently transferred to a new hospital where she is receiving special treatment for her mental health.
David spoke out since the incident, “On behalf of Tamar Braxton, I want to thank her fans and the public for the ongoing thoughts and prayers. Tamar is a beautifully talented woman, a devoted mother, a loving girlfriend, a dear sister and a special friend to countless people.”
