Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee & Slim Jxmmi will pay $18,000 to settle a lawsuit over money they were paid to perform at the Fyre Festival.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the hip-hop duo reached a deal with the trustee presiding over Fyre Festival’s bankruptcy.

Back in 2019, the trustee sued a bunch of celebrities and artists who were paid to promote the music festival. The lawsuits demanded the return of money they received in an effort to pay back Fyre’s numerous creditors.

The trustee sued Rae Sremmurd over $100,000 they were paid to perform. The court documents inform the court the band have agreed to settle the case for $18,000.

The documents note, “The Defendant shall pay the total sum of $18,000.00 (the “Settlement Payment”), as full and final settlement and complete satisfaction of all claims the Trustee has against the Defendant.”

As The Blast first reported, back in March, Migos settled a separate lawsuit over Fyre Festival. Offset, Quavo and Takeoff reached a deal in the case brought by the Fyre Festival bankruptcy trustee.

The band was originally paid $100,000 to perform. Per their deal, Migo agreed to pay back $30,000 to the court.

Other celebrities still facing lawsuits include Kendall Jenner who was paid $275,000 to promote the event on social media.

Blink 182, who was paid $500,000 to headline Fyre, was hit with legal papers for the return of the payment.

Fyre Festival head, Billy McFarland, is still behind bars after being sentenced to six years in prison on fraud charges. He was ordered to pay $26 million in restitution once he checks out of prison.
