Supernatural star Jared Padalecki was arrested for assault early on Sunday morning after an altercation at the Austin, Texas, club Stereotype. Padalecki is a regular at the club, and after partying on Saturday night, Padalecki allegedly got violent with a bartender, the general manager, and a friend who tried to intervene.
According to TMZ, the alleged ordeal began when Padalecki punched a bartender in the face and tried to fight the general manager. When a friend intervened and tried to remove Padalecki from the club, Padalecki put him in a headlock.
The police were called and had to restrain Padalecki, and he allegedly flashed a handful of cash at them. His bond was set at $15,000 ($5,000 per assault charge), and there has been no comment from his representation.
The Supernatural fandom is extremely vocal and involved, and have been posting their concern on social media. While they are concerned about Padalecki’s behavior, they are encouraging him every step of the way and reminding him that they are always in his corner.
@jarpad pls know that I'm right behind you, no matter what! But I'm also worried how you got there! very worried, I missed your real smile in Toronto! Pls stay strong, you came so far, pls don't destroy it. No matter why. There's ALWAYS reason to carry on. I love you, Jared.
