This Argument Just Won't Die

That old Star Wars argument -- who's the stronger, better Jedi -- is coming back, though it probably never went away.

John Boyega's recent tweet about the subject, so soon before we see him as Finn in Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker, is only fueling the fire.

Boyega sent a tweet in response to a story on Comic Book Resources that states that a prequel to Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker will prove that Rey is better at being a Jedi than Anakin Skywalker, and his son, Luke.

In his tweet, Boyega said, "I’m sorry guys but Anakin slapping all of us in a pit of lava. Including Kylo," and added some laughing emojis.

Remember That Scene In 'Rogue One'?

It's quite possible that Boyega is referring to that time in Rogue One when Darth absolutely destroys a group of rebels on board a ship, just as the plans for the Death Star are being ferried to Princess Leia and to safety.

If you need a refresher, Darth Vader comes on board and is slinging rebels left and right with a power we hadn't seen in the previous Star Wars movies. It was quite the spectacle.

And wasn't Vader still recovering after being nearly disintegrated in the lava flow? Dude's got range.

Is Rey the Strongest?

One point that Comic Book Resources states is that Rey has been able to defeat Kylo Ren basically without any training. Even Luke initially needed help from Obi Wan and Yoda.

When Rey was being held captive by Kylo, he was trying to get into her head to figure out where the plans were. He was driven back by Rey, who then gets into his head and starts messing with him. It's a lot of fun.

It's possible the argument could get solved with this newest movie, which marks the end of the Skywalker saga, but we'll have to wait until Dec. 20 to find out.
