2:37 PM PT -- According to the documents, Parker lists the date of separation as February 28. He cites irreconcilable differences as the cause of the split, and is asking to terminate any spousal support due to the former couple's prenup. He's also seeking joint custody of their daughter.
Trey Parker, one-half of the brains behind "South Park," just filed for divorce from his wife.
Parker filed the documents Tuesday in Los Angeles against wife, Boogie Parker. They married in 2014, and it's currently unclear what led to the split, but Trey and Boogie are regularly seen on each other's social media accounts. They were even seen sharing a kiss on New Year's Eve.
They have one daughter, five-year-old Betty, who has has been a regular voice on the Comedy Central cartoon.
Parker created "South Park" with Matt Stone in 1997. He also broke into Broadway with "Book of Mormon," which won nine Tony awards.
This is Parker's second marriage, as he previously wed Emma Sugiyama in 2006 in a ceremony officiated by Norman Lear. They divorced two years later.
