'Modern Family' Star Sofia Vergara In Tears While Saying Goodbye To Cast Members

Sofia Vergara was visibly upset after shooting the very last episode of "Modern Family," concluding the 11-year series. The 47-year-old actress used tissues to soak up her tears as they flowed down her face after the cast and crew wrapped for the final time on Friday, February 21. Sofia Vergara shared several behind-the-scenes photos and videos from the show's last day on set with one post, in particular, showing how emotional Sofia Vergara was to say goodbye to the show that made her a household name.

Possibly the most upset cast member on the day of, Sofia Vergara shared a video showing the cast and crew singing along to the tearjerking Green Day hit, "Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)." The Colombian bombshell, who famously plays Gloria Pritchett in the show, is seen in her character's usual getup. Wearing a form-fitting green dress with a plunging neckline to show off her beautiful hourglass figure, Sofia Vergara was shown standing next to her co-stars Sarah Hyland, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Julie Bowen. The group was heard signing to the sad song while standing in the Dunphy family home.

While most of the cast was seen smiling and singing, Sofia Vergara found it tough to hold back her emotions. Holding onto a tissue, she's filmed crying while trying to get out the words to sing along with her castmates. Sarah Hyland recognized her struggle and attempted to comfort Sofia Vergara by cuddling up to her. When the actress later shared their last cast photo displaying everyone standing on the staircase, she expressed her gratitude for the once in a lifetime opportunity "Modern Family" gave her.

Sofia Vergara also revealed her real family was on set to support her on the monumental day and how much their presence meant to her. Posting a photo of her son, Manolo Gonzalez Vergara, and her husband, Joe Manganiello, she wrote, "Gracias to my real family for being with me today!! ❤️❤️ #modernfamilyfinale I luv u😘." And she wasn't the only "Modern Family" star who documented their last day on set.

Ariel Winter Says Goodbye!


Ariel Winter posed in front of her trailer for the last time and it sent fans into a tailspin. "In just a few hours we will series wrap on @abcmodernfam, and along with everything else, I will be saying goodbye to the trailer I have had for almost a decade," she wrote. "Goodbye trailer! Goodbye Alex plaque!" she added including a crying emoji. The cast has gone through a lot of real-life issues together these past 10 years. There's been tragic deaths in families, divorces and monumental moments like their final table reading and 21st birthdays. After 11 seasons and 22 Emmys wins, fans will say goodbye to their beloved "Modern Family" come September 25 when the final season airs on ABC.
