Die hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan Snoop Dogg is taking the loss of their franchise QB hard but Coach Snoop seems to think he knows who the replacement should be.
It was announced Monday that Ben Roethlisberger will miss the remainder of the NFL season after he suffered an elbow injury that will require surgery.
Uncle Snoop knew exactly what to do and immediately posted a picture of Colin Kaepernick to his social media while airing out his thoughts about who should be Big Ben’s replacement.
“Steelers go get him now or we gonna look like the old Cleveland Browns he better than 70% of the Q bs [sic] in the league let’s. Go. Steel city,” the hip-hop legend wrote.
Not all of Snoop’s followers agreed with him and sounded off in the comments of his post.
“He ain’t even better then the backup QB on the Steelers,” one fans said while another said, “#unemployed I bet he wished he stood up for our national anthem.”
Several fans noted that Kaepernick could also find a spot on the New Orleans Saints because Drew Brees will also miss a considerable amount of time due to an injury.
Perhaps Snoop’s idea isn’t too far fetched, as so many stars have already gone down early in the season with injuries.
Kaepernick last played in the NFL in 2016 and that’s when he famously took a knee during the national anthem at the 49ers third preseason game. His actions sparked a large national discussion about racial injustice and oppression.
He filed a grievance against the NFL and its owners in 2017. He accused them of colluding to keep him out of the league. He withdrew the grievance in February 2019 after reaching a confidential settlement with the NFL.
