Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles‘ brother has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of murder.
Tevin Biles-Thomas, 24, was arrested at Fort Stewart in Georgia on Thursday in connection with a fatal shooting on New Year’s Eve at an Airbnb in Cleveland that left three people dead.
According to a joint statement from the Cleveland Division of Police and the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office, an “uninvited group” entered the house and “an altercation ensued.”
The fight led to gunfire and Delvante Johnson, 19, and Toshaun Banks, 21, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Devaughn Gibson, 23, was later pronounced died at the hospital.
Simone Biles’ brother has been charged with six counts of murder, three counts of voluntary manslaughter, five counts of felonious assault and one count of perjury, according to prosecutors.
Tevin Biles-Thomas, who is on active duty with the Army, is currently being held at Liberty County Jail in Hinesville, Georgia.
An arraignment has been set for Sept. 13 in Cleveland.

The 22-year-old U.S. gymnast has yet to make a statement regarding her brother’s arrest and murder charges.
She tweeted “eating my feelings don’t talk to me” on Thursday evening.
She also posted a picture showing her with her boyfriend, Stacey Ervin Jr., on Instagram.
“missing you a lil extra today,” she captioned the shot.
The decorated gymnast has been through a lot these past several years.
She was one of the strong women who spoke out against Larry Nassar‘s sexual abuse.
Months ago, she sat down with Priyanka Chopra to discuss how she overcame depression following her experience with Nassar.
Most recently, she made history in her sport by landing a double twisting, double somersault dismount off the balance beam at the 2019 U.S. Gymnastics Championships in Kansas City, Missouri.
