He continued, “From the moment we met, I knew Roy and I, together, would change the world. There could be no Siegfried without Roy, and no Roy without Siegfried. Roy was a fighter his whole life including during these final days."

Roy's partner thanked workers who fought to save the showman's life, saying, "I give my heartfelt appreciation to the team of doctors, nurses and staff at Mountain View Hospital who worked heroically against this insidious virus that ultimately took Roy’s life.”

As you know, Roy was famously mauled by a 380-pound white tiger, Mantecore, back in 2003 during a performance at the Mirage Las Vegas.

The giant white tiger grabbed Roy by the neck and dragged him offstage right in the middle of their show. At the time, both Siegfried and Roy claimed the animal was not trying to hurt Roy he actually sensed a medical problem and was saving his life.

Roy said he suffered a mini-stroke and the tiger sensed the situation.

The terrible accident left Roy partially paralyzed and ended the multi-decades run for the duo on the Las Vegas strip.
