Looking Back On the 10 Most Shocking Celebrity Splits of 2018

By TheBlast Staff

The time has come when we reflect the year's past, and all the relationships that are no more.

From musicians to actors and reality stars, the list of splits goes on and on. Here's 10 celebrity breakups that blindsided us this year ... so far.

Ariana Grande & Pete Davidson:

You may be shaking your head that this couple made the cut, but hear us out. Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson's relationship crashed as fast as it started. The duo began dating in May, announced their engagement in June and she called it off in October because she needed to "work on herself." They dropped the bombshell just when we finally accepted them as a couple and that's why they're on the list.

Halsey & G-Eazy:

When America's favorite edgy music duo broke up (for the second time) it didn't surprise us, but was still sad. Halsey and** G-Eazy**, who've never shied away from PDA, fell madly in love in 2017 and recently split this past October. Their second try at love happened just two months after getting back together following their first breakup in July.

Jennifer Aniston & Justin Theroux:

We were all pulling for Jennifer Aniston when she found love again after the whole Brangelina debacle and, frankly, were devastated when we found out her marriage to Justin Theroux didn't work out. However, Aniston says it was all for the best and considers the marriage a success. Jen and Justin announced their breakup back in February after saying "I do" in 2015 during a ceremony at the "Friends" star's Bel Air mansion.

Cardi B & Offset:

The hip-hop community was caught off guard when Cardi B and Offsetcalled it quits just months after they welcomed their daughter. The "Money" rapper announced the split with Offset earlier this month and since then cheating allegations have followed. The Migos rapper has tried multiple times to get back with Cardi ... including crashing one of her performances.

Jenni “JWoww” Farley & Roger Mathews:

The drama that came after Jenni "JWoww" Farley announced the end to her marriage with Roger Mathews had everyone reaching for popcorn, especially his social media behavior that followed. The "Jersey Shore" star filed for divorce in September after three years of marriage. Despite what looked like a brief reconciliation, the two recently had a major blowout that included JWoww getting a restraining order.

Channing Tatum & Jenna Dewan:

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan's love didn't outlive their "Step Up" franchise. Jenna filed for divorce in October after nine years of marriage. The two have one child, a five-year-old daughter named Everly, and all seems to be amicable. The former couple have already moved on with significant others including a broadway star and a famous singer.

Sean Diddy Combs & Cassie Ventura:

It's been a hard year for Diddy. Besides his ex Kim Porter passing away and playing both mommy and daddy to their kids, he's also had to deal with a breakup. Back in October, after 11 years with Cassie, Diddy's rep confirmed the two were “no longer together and haven’t been for months.” After Kim's death, the rap mogul said he and Kim "were more than soulmates." Most recently, Cassie was seen hooking up with a fitness guru.

Nia Vardalos & Ian Gomez:

The duo, who's love inspired "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" got a big fat divorce in 2018. After 25 years of marriage, Nia filed for divorce in July. The former couple settled it up nicely and we're officially single come September. Nia and Ian have one adopted daughter.

Scottie & Larsa Pippen:

Two times the charm for the retired Chicago Bulls legend and his estranged wife. Larsa Pippen, who wed Scottie in 1997, filed for divorce in November. These two are no stranger to legal paperwork. Despite having four kids, one who appeared on "Dancing with the Stars: Juniors" this season, this is the second time they have filed to end their marriage with Scottie first pulling the plug in 2016.

Brandon & Leah Jenner:

The most Kumbaya couple ever had people scratching their heads in disbelief when they announced their split in September. Caitlyn Jenner's son and daughter-in-law, who have an indie band together, married in 2012 and have one daughter.

Best of luck to all the celebrity couples out there in 2019!
