Shaquille O’Neal has always strived to be the best. However, we are not sure doing viral TikTok dances is his forte.
The NBA legend teamed up with his sons, Shareef and Shaquir, and got down to a modified version of the song, “Lean wit It, Rock wit It” by Dem Franchize Boyz on Friday night. Shaq and his boys were all dressed casually in basketball shorts, sweats, tees, and tank tops as they performed their synchronized dance. The basketball great turned sports analyst’s ego is as big as his 7’1″ frame (rightfully so) and was so pleased with his moves that he teased several NBA players online.
“Y’all do t[sic] want none @kingjames @dwyanewade @damianlillard @dwighthoward @stephencurry30 @stephenasmith @ud40 @joelembiid,” Shaq captioned his video.
While LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Stephen Curry], and the other players and broadcasters he challenged have not yet responded, some of the big man’s famous friends showed him love in the comments.
Their dance vid racked up more than 3 million views on Instagram and the trio received a bunch of praise from the fans.
“U been killing it with the dance moves!!!” one fan exclaimed, while another said, “Shaq on tiktok is what we need during this time.”
Arguments erupted in the comments section of his post about how tall Shaq and his sons are.
“They make Shaq look normal height,” one fan joked, while another noted that Shaqir is “6”7 now.. that’s crazyyyy.”
Many people stated that his youngest son is taller than that while others said he was shorter. After some quick googling action, we determined that Shaqir is 6’5″, Shareef is 6’9″, and Shaq is 7’1″. Which brings the combined height of three 20’2″! That’s got to be some kind of a record.
The big fella may be taking the social media challenges a little too far because he doused himself in Lysol in a hilarious (but potentially dangerous) slow-mo video he shared last week.
“Thanks LYSOL . Everybody be safe love y’all #LYSOLCHALLENGE,” he captioned the sterilized video
Actor and basketball enthusiast, Michael Rapaport gave the new nickname of “THE BIG GERM DISENFECTOR” to Shaq.
Also, to make it clear, don’t spray Lysol on yourself for a social media challenge. Just use it as directed by the instructions on the can.
