Late night host Seth Meyers and his wife, Alexi Ashe, just welcomed a new baby boy and he was in such a rush to meet his parents ... Alexi gave birth in the lobby of their apartment building.
"The Late Night with Seth Meyers" host went back to work just a day after the birth of his second child to tell the incredible tale. Baby Axel couldn't wait to get to the hospital to be delivered and, actually, he couldn't even wait for emergency personnel to make it.
"My wife just says, 'I can't get into the car, I'm going to have the baby right now, the baby is coming,'" Seth said. "My wife is saying, 'The baby is coming. The baby is out.'"
The comedian goes on to explain that his wife essentially gave birth while still wearing her pants. "I looked at my wife," Meyers said. "And the only way I can describe the way my wife looked, was she looked like someone who was hiding a baby in a pair of sweatpants."
The whole thing actually happened while Meyers was on the phone with 911. Thankfully, the pair was with a doula at the time and a friendly neighbor warmed up towels in the dryer to keep the new baby warm. The FDNY arrived on the scene, cut the chord and mommy and baby were safely taken to the hospital by EMTs.

Two years ago, Seth and Alexi had a close call with their first child, Ashe, who was delivered just twenty minutes after they made it to the ER.
It wasn't all good news for the Meyers clan this time though ... they got charged by Uber for the car they didn't end up taking to the hospital!
Welcome to the world, Axel — we expect big things after since a dramatic entrance!
