Ruby Rose is giving the caped crusader a makeover.
The first trailer for CW’s, “Batwoman” dropped on Thursday, and Rose shows she’s got the skills to take on the bad boys, and girls, in Gotham.
Along with being the first Batwoman, the former “Orange is the New Black” star is also breaking new ground as the first openly gay superhero who is also played by an out gay star. Rose initially built up the character of Kate Kane, who happens to be Bruce Wayne’s cousin, on the other CW superhero shows, like “The Flash,” “Arrow” and “Supergirl.”
The storyline centers on a Batman-less Gotham being terrorized by the Alice in Wonderland gang … until Kane shows up to bring some bat justice.
“Batwoman” premieres this fall on the CW.
