Roseanne Barr is in the Holy Land as she plans on expanding her knowledge of Judaism and Israeli history, and started her trip with a visit to the Western Wall.
Barr was seen walking among the crowd Thursday afternoon in the Old City of Jerusalem near the holy wall. Dressed in all black with her head covered, the comedian also appeared to pay her respects by placing a note inside the cracks of the wall, as is tradition.
Sources close to Roseanne tell us she was also upset after noticing trash had been placed inside the wall.
Roseanne announced her visit to Israel last month and planned on speaking out against a Palestinian-led, anti-Israeli movement called, BDS. She has also been invited to speak at the Israeli Knesset, which is basically the legislative branch of the Israeli government. That meeting is scheduled for January 30.
