Rose McGowan Thanks Women Who Testified Against Weinstein With Throwback Pic: 'I Was Stolen By Harvey'

Rose McGowen thanked the women who testified against Harvey Weinstein on the day he was sentenced to 23-years in prison.

The actress has been very outspoken when it comes to the crimes Weinstein committed against her and many other women but she took the time to thank the people who spoke up in the court of law. McGowen shared a picture from her early 20s and expressed her gratitude now that justice has been served.

"I was a 23 year old girl when I was stolen by Harvey Weinstein. Today he was sentenced to 23 years. I thank the women who testified to put those 23 nails in his power coffin. Here’s to freedom, yours and mine. 🍾" Rose wrote on Instagram.

Back in February when Harvey was convicted, McGowan said, "Today is a powerful day & a huge step forward in our collective healing."

Rose wasn't the only victim that shared their happiness over Weinstein's sentencing, actresses Asia Argento and Mira Sorvino expressed their satisfaction as well.

"🙏 Justice at last 🙏 LOOKING FORWARD TO THE LOS ANGELES TRIAL - XXIII years in prison ✊🏼 thank you to all the brave women who are helping to change the world," Asia wrote on social media.

Mira tweeted, "23 years. Harvey Weinstein has been sentenced to 23 years in prison for his crimes of rape and sexual assault. I literally cried tears of amazement, gratitude that the justice system has worked on behalf of all of his victims today."

Reese Witherspoon and Vincent D'Onofrio are just a few that joined the many voices that are thrilled with the sentence.

Reese tweeted, "A historical moment today," Reese wrote referencing the sentencing. "I am so appreciative of the women and men who spoke up about the abuse and harassment they suffered at the hands of Harvey Weinstein." While Vincent wrote, "My heart goes out to all the woman who came forward. A couple of these women I've known and appreciate as actresses but to see their strength through all this is just so inspiring. Harvey Weinstein sentenced to 23 years in prison."
