Three men with possible ties to R. Kelly have been arrested for their role in a plot to threaten along with bribe the singer’s alleged victims.

According to local reports, New York Federal prosecutors have charged three people in separate schemes against R. Kelly’s victims.

The criminal complaints regarding the three men, Richard Arline Jr., Donnell Russell and Michael Williams, were unsealed in New York. Arline is accused of a scheme that would have involved paying $500,000 to a victim.

The goal of the payment was to silence the victim from cooperating with prosecutors. Arline said, “If I had a way to talk to Rob (Kelly), being next to him and telling him what’s going on, without nobody listening to, no feds, nobody, he gonna pay her . . . off to be quiet,” adding she “got too much. She got too much.”

Prosecutors say Arline told others he had been in contact with the disgraced singer while he was behind bars. He said he was able to communicate with him on a three-way prison phone call. Kelly is currently locked up at MCC Chicago awaiting trial in two separate criminal cases.

Russell allegedly harassed one alleged victim after she brought a civil lawsuit against Kelly in New York. He is accused of threatening to release sexual photos of the victim and reveal her sexual history if she didn’t drop the suit. He reportedly created a Facebook page named “Surviving Lies”, a spin on “Surviving R. Kelly.” On the page, Russell released text screenshots of the victim and Kelly in an attempt to disparage her.

Williams is charged for setting fire to a car owned by Kelly’s ex-girlfriend Azriel Clary. Back in June, Azriel showed the aftermath of the car being set on fire. She believed it was meant to intimidate her.
