R. Kelly's Ex-Girlfriend Azriel Clary All Smiles Amid Singer's Desperate Prison Plea

By Ryan Naumann

R. Kelly’s ex-girlfriend Azriel Clary is living her best life amid the singer making another desperate attempt to get out of prison.

23-year-old Azriel shared a video of her dancing in her bedroom to “Whoa!” by Black Rob. She looks to be enjoying herself post-Kelly.

In another video, Azriel showed off her braids while her favorite artist, Drake, played in the background.

Back in December, Azriel moved out of Kelly’s Trump Tower Condo and reunited with her estranged family. Since leaving the singer, Azriel has been vocal about the alleged abuse she suffered while with Kelly.

During one incident, she claims Kelly viciously beat her with a size 12 Nike Air Force One. After reuniting with her family Azriel decided to start cooperating with Federal Agents investigating Kelly. She has turned over evidence to the feds to help build their case against Kelly.

As The Blast first reported, over the weekend, Kelly went back to court to try again to convince a judge to let him out on bond.

In his new argument, Kelly claims he is beyond broke and owes $1.8 million in back taxes. He claims he doesn’t have the resources to flee the county and is too famous

The $1.8 million comes from a lien filed by the IRS. They claim Kelly owes them 648,998.25 (2013) + $1,229,739.18 (2016) for a grand total of $1,878,737.43. Kelly’s lawyers claim the singer doesn’t have money coming in, “the royalties to which Government refers are likely the gross amount, before monies are taken out by agents, managers, and all of the other people that have a piece of that pie. The monies the Government claims Mr. Kelly has access to are not the kind of funds that would present an opportunity to flee, let alone live a life covertly in exile.”

His lawyers are pleading for his immediate release. Prosecutors believe Kelly should stay put due to him being a danger to society.
