By Ryan Naumann

“Real Housewives of New York” star Luann de Lesseps is firing back at her ex-employee claiming he is the reason she became a star.

Luann spoke to Page Six about her ex-assistant, Danny Marin, recent social media post.

The “RHONY” star told the outlet, “It’s utterly disgusting that a disgruntled ex-employee would take swipes at me during a global pandemic. His timing here speaks volumes considering its been a year since he last worked for me and with the premiere of ‘RHONY’ Season 12 coming up.”

Earlier this week, Danny shared a throwback video on the set of Luann’s music video for “Feelin’ Jovani” In the clip, you can see him feeding lines to Luann as she films. He accused the reality star of not giving him proper credit and says he basically held her up for a bit.

He captioned the post, “FUN FACT: I was the only reason why #countessluann knew her lyrics while filming her music video, got dressed in time, had jewelry on, had multiple shoe options, wrangled her Housewife friends... OH YEAH THAT’S RIGHT, but I didn’t get a credit helping for 18 hours straight filming the #FeelinJovani music video. Remember that while you tune in this season of #RHONY #moneycantbuyyouclass #moneycantbuyaNDA #countessfraud #countessandfriends ✌🏻🙄✌🏻”

One fan commented supporting Danny, “Anyone halfway paying attention could see she didn't take her probation or sobriety seriously. She got off very easy due to privilege.”

“Well this means that no aging, alcoholic reality show D list celebrity will ever wanna work with u on a song that had 200 streams ever again,” joked one follower. One questioned, “I'm shocked that people are defending @countessluann behavior towards you. HAS NO ONE ever SEEN her behavior on the show?”

One person didn’t have time for the drama writing, “If you got a paycheck as an assistant I’d think that was your “credit”. I don’t get what it is that your trying to do? So you fed her some lines. Big whoop. If you were there for 18 hours, so was she. I do a lot of amazing things in my my job and don’t get acknowledged for it publicly, but I do get a paycheck, and that’s really all I need in the end. If you’re gonna “spill tea” make sure is hot. This is lukewarm at best.”

“Real Housewives of New York” premieres tonight on Bravo.
