'RHONY' Star Bethenny Frankel To Grill Ex-Lawyer in $2 Million Battle Over Jason Hoppy

"Real Housewives of New York" star Bethenny Frankel will soon face off with her former lawyer in court, as part of her $2 million malpractice case.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, a judge has given Frankel’s ex-lawyer, Jamie Andrew Schreck, until December 6 to be deposed.

The two have been battling it out in court since 2016, when Frankel sued accusing Schreck of malpractice. She accused him of improperly drafting trust documents causing her ex-husband, Jason Hoppy, to get more in their divorce settlement.

During the deposition, Frankel will get the chance to grill him about the trust. The business mogul has also been ordered to be deposed by November 15. She was ordered to turn over documents relating to her divorce proceedings.

In her suit, Frankel explained she bought a $5-million-dollar Manhattan condo in 2011. She claimed her then-husband Jason Hoppy had her put the property in a trust, despite her belief it should be in her name.

The reality star realized once they were involved in a divorce battle, the trust documents gave Hoppy 50% share of her property, along with giving him the right to live there and not pay rent during a divorce. She accused her lawyer of negligence for allowing this to happen.

Frankel took issue with Schreck allowing Jason’s mother to be the notary for the trust. She argued the mother was not a legal notary in New York and her license was expired.

She also claims her ex-lawyer was not present when the trust documents were notarized. Frankel says she never even saw the trust documents in question.

She believes all of that should make the entire trust invalid.

Schreck denied all allegations of wrongdoing in the case and demanded the case be dismissed. He has blamed Frankel for causing her own damages.
