“Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Dina Manzo looks completely unbothered after her ex-husband was arrested for allegedly hiring a hitman to hurt her current husband.
Dina shared her day on Instagram live which included hanging out her beautiful home, taking care of horses on the property, and cooking for her husband David Cantin.
At one point, Dina posted a selfie video promoting a beauty procedure she had on her stomach. Dina looks happy and unbothered in the social media clips.
Later, Dina showed off a meal she cooked with her husband David but kept him off-camera. The video is really one of the first times we’ve seen Dina since all the court drama with her ex-husband, Thomas Manzo.
As The Blast previously reported, earlier this month, Dina’s ex-husband was charged with committing a violent crime in aid of racketeering activity and conspiracy to commit a violent crime in aid of racketeering activity. He could be sentenced to a maximum potential sentence of 20 years in prison.
Prosecutors accuse Thomas of hiring a man named John Perna, a member of Lucchese Crime Family, in 2015. He offered the man a discounted rate on a wedding reception in exchange for an assault against Dina’s then-boyfriend, David Cantin.
John tracked down David at a New Jersey strip mall and assaulted him with a slapjack. Thomas’ attorney said, “The allegations more resemble a fictional plot of a reality TV show and will be proven to be absolutely and totally false as it relates to Thomas Manzo.”
A federal court judge set Thomas’ bond at $100k, ordered him to surrender his passport and not have any contact with the victims, witness, co-defendants unless with an attorney present. The victims would include Dina and her husband.
Dina’s sister Caroline Manzo, who happens to be married to Thomas’ brother, spoke out after the indictment and said, “We are heartbroken. This is family on both sides. I want to know the truth, and my allegiance will lie with the truth.”
She added, “We don’t run from things like this. We address them. And I feel comfortable with that because we are being painted with a brush that does not reflect who we are as people.”
