Vicki Gunvalson is breaking her silence following the shocking news that she’s been demoted from the “RHOC” cast.
The OG of the OC took to social media to assure fans that although she doesn’t have her orange anymore, she’s still apart of the cast.
“For the past 14 years I’ve opened up my life, my loves, my ups and downs on The Real Housewives of Orange County and I am proud to be the “OG of the OC,” she opened her message.
Gunvalson, who’s been one of the most memorable housewives of the entire Bravo franchise, wants everyone to know she will still be on the show despite being just a “friend.”
“I am back again this season right in the middle of the action,” she wrote. “I hope you have as much fun watching the show as I did living it in front of the cameras.”
Fans lost their minds when Bravo released the group shot on Tuesday without Vicki.
She’s been seemingly replaced by newbie, Braunwyn Windham-Burke. Sitting on a chair next to Tamra Judge, the mom of 7 is seen looking new and shiny.
Returning to the series includes Shannon Beador, Kelly Dodd, Gina Kirschenheitr and Emily Simpson.
Although Gunvalson’s post appears to take the high road, fans aren’t having it.
“SO not happy you aren’t on the cast picture…you’re the face of HOUSEWIVES!!!!!!” one person commented. “WE STAND WITH YOU VICKI,” wrote another.
Other comments include: “You ARE the show!!! I’m so confused,” “Vick don’t make me cry we love you!!!! This show would never be the same without you” and “The OG of THE ENTIRE HOUSEWIVES FRANCHISE.”
Despite not being named as a full-time cast member, Gunvalson is still involved in plenty of drama as shown in the season 14 trailer that was released today.
She can be seen getting into it with Kelly after the two had a major falling out last season with Gunvalson accusing her of doing drugs.
Fun fact: Vicki is the only housewife to be featured on the series since season one in 2006.
The new season of “RHOC” airs on August 6.
