“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Erika Jayne is facing backlash after taking a swipe at Denise Richards. The “One Hot Pleasure” singer took aim at her co-star by gloating over the Bravo show’s ratings but it wasn’t about the numbers, she copped heat for the caption. Posting a snap from a headline reading, “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Is Once Again #1 In Cable Primetime.” Using Denise Richards’ words against her, Erika Jayne then threw shade her castmate’s way.
“‘Mean Girls’ stand UP!” Erika Jayne wrote as the caption, an obvious slam towards Denise Richards. In Wednesday night’s “RHOBH” episode, Denise called the group “mean girls” and said she felt “attacked” after they continued to come for her over Brandi Glanville‘s allegations that the two had sex.
The ladies couldn’t let it go and Denise finally stood up for herself. But Lisa Rinna took issue with the “Mean Girl” reference, especially because the “RHOBH” cast has been called that before. While Rinna and Denise talked it out, fans were not convinced Lisa was genuine while tearfully apologizing to Richards. In fact, they called her out for her “crocodile tears.”
Erika Jayne immediatley caught backlash for her “Mean Girls” post with several fans slamming the star for being shady. “I get that you guys don’t think you are mean girls, but does every single post have to be a dig at someone,” one person asked.
Many of Erika’s followers had Denise’s back and wasted no time turning on the singer. “Baby, thanks to Denise and Garcelle. You don’t bring anymore!” someone else added. “You can thank Denise for that,” commented a third. “Make sure you all thank Denise Richards,” another follower posted.
Erika Jayne quickly changed her tune after copping hate over her caption. She later changed it by mentioning her co-star but it still came off as a diss. “‘Mean Girls’ stand UP! ( they leaned in … deal with it) Special recognition goes to Denise’s boot cut jeans. Solid player. ☝?,” she updated the caption.
While fans were pissed, Erika Jayne collected love from several of her “mean girl” co-stars. Lisa Rinna and Teddi Mellencamp both dropped comments as did Rinna’s daughters who stuck up for the group. “The only nice girls I know lmfao,” Amelia Hamlin responded. “Mean girls ??? ok my favorite ladies,” added Delilah.
