Brooklyn-born rapper Lola Brooke recently celebrated Hip Hop's 50th anniversary and her debut album release by partnering with CÎROC Ultra-Premium Vodka, the official vodka of Hip Hop 50.

In October, Lola helped to kick off "The Hip Hop Museum Tour," partnering with Mass Appeal and sponsored by CÎROC in New York City, the birthplace of Hip Hop. CÎROC also joined Lola more recently to amp up the festivities as she celebrated the release of her debut album, "Dennis Daughter."

On October 13, the Museum Tour kicked off in New York City, the birthplace of Hip Hop, where industry notables were invited to get a look at the exhibit as well as a fireside chat hosted by museum curators. Lola joined the chat talking about the past, present, and future of hip hop, as well as her music career.

CÎROC was proud to unveil The Hip Hop Museum Tour in celebration of hip hop’s 50th anniversary.  The tour exhibit featured a pop-up in six different cities that showcased artifacts that tell the story of Hip Hop from 1973 through 1990.

Lola continued her partnership with CÎROC to celebrate the release of her debut album, “Dennis Daughter” with a release party that featured a bespoke cocktail menu of CÎROC drinks.

“My collaboration with CÎROC has been so lit. it’s been a phenomenal thing,” she told The Blast exclusively. “It [the release party] was good vibes. It was love. I was so grateful to have CÎROC sponsor a release party for me. I enjoyed it.”

Lola Recently Released Her Debut Album 'Dennis Daughter'

For Lola, music was always something she wanted to be a part of since childhood. She said it helped her “dive into my feelings.” 

“I would listen to music so I could just fantasize. It helped me paint a picture,” she exclusively told The Blast. “I’ve always been a big fan of music since a child. Music is therapeutic. You clean to it, you have me time to it, it’s just really soothing. I like to express myself in multiple ways.” 

Known for her New York rap sound, Lola's 2021 track, "Don't Play With It" went viral on TikTok and made it to the Billboard Hot 100. She's been nominated for Best New Artist at the BET Awards and Best Breakthrough Hip Hop Artist at the BET Hip Hop Awards.

Lola explained that releasing her 12-track album was a chance to share her story with everyone, and it helped her to get some much-needed closure.

“I’m basically sharing my story with the world. I finally get a chance to share my story with the world, and it’s like a relief,” she said. “I feel like I got a lot of closure from putting it out. I released it on Nov. 11.”

When asked what the future holds and if there are any new projects in the works, Lola told The Blast that even though she just released her album, she’s always working on new music.

“I’m always working on the next thing but right now I’m focusing on double downing on the project ‘Dennis Daughter’ that I just dropped,” she said. “And taking it as far as I can.” 

She’s also excited to do some touring in the future and said that’s the “best part about being an artist.”
