'RHOA' Star NeNe Leakes Goes OFF In Scathing Twitter Tirade Amid Contract Negotiations

By Whitney Vasquez

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" could be down one peach when the Bravo series returns for season 13 because NeNe Leakes isn't playing anymore. Over the weekend, the 52-year-old unleashed on Twitter, posting several cryptic messages aimed at those who backstabbed her. Her Twitter tirade was so intense, fans began begging for the tea but she wouldn't give it up.

This comes on the heels of Page Six's report that NeNe Leakes' "RHOA" role "is all still very much in the air.”

Will She Return?

Taking to social media on Friday, August 21, NeNe Leakes alleged that she's been the one "taking the beating" for years and accused others of leaving her in the dust. "You do somebody wrong but want them to be quite about YOUR wrong doings! How does that work," she first tweeted.

The "RHOA" star then followed it up by posting a photo of a stopwatch counting down. "Support Black Women," was the next tweet followed by the most damaging one that came one day later.

The Damaging Tweets:

On Saturday, August 21, NeNe Leakes posted, "I hav [sic] protected every1 for years and covered up things i shouldn’t have! I took the beating so others didn’t have too and no one has protected me or stood up for me."

She also alleged that those she stood up for have turned their back on her. "Y’all have gone silent and turned the other cheek. You are NOT exempted from getting this same treatment 1 day," NeNe Leakes added.

According to reports, NeNe Leakes might be on the chopping block after whispers surfaced that Bravo was reducing her role as Head Peach In Charge.

Kandi Weighs In:

NeNe Leakes has not been biting her tongue lately, recently posting some damaging tweets aimed at a mystery "sociopath." Her frenemy and "RHOA" co-star Kandi Burruss recently spoke out about NeNe's future on the show. “Listen, she and I, we’re like oil and water sometimes," Kandi told Hollywood Life on July 19.

Adding that despite their on-again, off-again friendship, "I definitely would love for her to be back." Admitting that she doesn't know where NeNe Leakes' future lies on the show, Kandi Burruss stated, “I definitely feel like she is a major part of this show. I feel like it would suck if she decided not to come back. I feel like why wouldn’t she come back, but I feel like ultimately that is up to her, so we’ll see."
