Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern practiced what they preached when they went on a social distant hike!

The "Big Little Lies" stars shared their distant selfies on Instagram on Friday and said that they made sure to stay 6-feet apart from each other at all times. The not so close friends said that the hike took place a few days ago before Angelenos were asked to not leave their houses at all.

"Friendship with social distancing. Hi👋🏼@lauradern! We walked a few days ago .. before we were told to #stayhome. Now we are inside to keep everyone safe," Witherspoon captioned the pics.

"So blessed to have friends to distantly walk through this with. And nature!" Laura quipped as she posted her selfie.

Reese shared some of their social distant conversation to her IG story where both stars expressed how they felt for all the people who can't leave their houses.

"We're thinking of creative ways to entertain you," Witherspoon said before asking her co-star the million-dollar question.

"Dern, is there gonna be a 'Big Little Lies 3?' Reese asked. "Yeah," Laura responded.

Dern laughed while she elaborated on her evaluation, "We're gonna be filming it here. The whole thing takes place on a hiking trail."

The hike was all in good fun but things are changing so quickly that Reese sent a special message to her fans about staying in.

"We filmed this a few days ago... now we are staying in to keep everyone safe. But we will find a way to connect and share with you all. Sending love and positivity to everyone as we find a way to stay connected."

With that being said, her millions of fans expressed how much they appreciated the post and sounded off in the comments.

"I am here for this kind of friendship. 👊🏼" one supportive fan wrote, "this made me so happy, thank you for spreading positivity during this time. sending much love <3."

However, their hike did make some fans super jealous. "i want to go on a social distancing walk with them 🥺," one follower wrote. So do we... so do we.
