'Real L Word' Stars Whitney and Sara Are Really Getting Divorced

Whitney Mixter and Sara Bettencourt — the "Real L Word" stars who married in the series finale — are now getting divorced.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the couple tied the knot on April 24, 2012 and separated on September 23, 2016. Whitney, who filed the documents, cites irreconcilable differences for the split.
In the documents, Whitney says there no assets to divide up and makes no request for spousal support.
"The Real L Word" ran on Showtime for three seasons beginning in 2010. After appearing on that show, the couple appeared together in 2014 on the VH1 reality series, "Couple's Therapy."
Whitney Mixter spoke to gomag.com in 2017 about the couple's split, saying, "I think after 'Couple's Therapy,' we tried to utilize the tools we learned in the show, and it was really working for a while. But life happens, and stress happens, and I think the cameras shut off and things really got real."
