Ray J is telling all about his relationship with Princess Love following the epic blowout they had after BET’s Soul Train Awards in which she claims he left her and their baby to go to a strip club. The 38-year-old rapper appeared on Wendy Williams‘ talk show on Tuesday and no question was off-limits. The host grilled Ray J on everything from his current relationship status with Princess Love to those infidelity rumors and the rapper had a very different story to tell.
When Wendy Williams pressed him on Princess Love’s accusations, in which she claimed he left her and their 18-month-old daughter, Melody, stranded in Vegas so he could go to the strip club, Ray J revealed his side of the story. “No, I would never,” he responded. “I love you Princess and again look it didn’t happen like that. I would never leave my baby and my wife. I would die first before I leave them.” He admitted that his girls “were at the hotel [in Vegas], and that’s what she considers stranded.” Deciding to be a smart husband, he then stated three little words that every wife loves to hear. “But look, she’s right, I’m not even going to defend it. I was wrong,” he told Wendy. As The Blast reported, Princess Love publically spoke out about the strip club issue following the Soul Train Awards in November and later blocked him on social media.
Ray J has sworn off Las Vegas after the fight saying their argument began over buying a home. “I wanted to stay [live] in Vegas and she wanted to stay in LA as far as buying a house and stuff,” he said on the show, before noting, “I’m done with Vegas, I hate Vegas, I’m done — never again.” The rapper went on to say that he needs to work on a few things within himself for the sake of their marriage. “I have to compromise and do better. I have to do better and understand that my wife is pregnant and I have to think a little more wiser,” he said.
When it came to addressing the golden question regarding his faithfulness in the marriage, which Princess Love questioned, Wendy Williams simply asked, “Are you a faithful man or is it an open marriage?” He stated he wasn’t in an open marriage. “It would never be like that. I would never get married if it wasn’t super locked between us,” he told Wendy, admitting, “What we have to work on is keeping our circle tight with just me her and our baby.” The host then questioned why he was photographed without his wedding ring following their fight to which he responded, “My hands were ashy. I had to put some lotion on.” He elaborated by stating, “When I got up to the gate, I didn’t have any lotion and boom, right there, they got the picture. When you’re black and you wash your hands after you go to the bathroom and you’re ashy.”
Fans were left in disbelief after Princess Love reunited with Ray J for a sexy maternity photo shoot despite saying she didn’t want to be married anymore just days before. Ray J also shared a behind-the-scenes video of his pregnant wife from the shoot which confused them even more. Days following their Vegas fight, Princess Love revealed it was over between her and Ray J. “I don’t want to be married anymore,” she said on Instagram Live, adding, “Period. I don’t have time for this. This is not love. And I’m done.” That same day, the rapper spoke out for the first time addressing the issue. “I am my family. I love my family. I’ve dedicated my life to my family. To insinuate that I would do anything to harm my daughter is just sad man,” he said. “I just don’t understand how somebody could get stranded if we never left. We’ve been right here.” Ray J and Princess Love are currently expecting their second child together — a son due in January.
