R. Kelly's Girlfriend Joycelyn Savage Arrested For Domestic Battery, Azriel Clary Speaks Out

R. Kelly’s girlfriend Joycelyn Savage turned herself into police and has been charged with domestic battery, following her fight with the singer’s other girlfriend Azriel Clary.

According to local reports, Joycelyn Savage turned herself in hours after the altercation. She originally fled the scene and avoided being questioned by police.

Joycelyn has been charged with one misdemeanor count of domestic battery. She is facing a year behind bars if convicted.

The fight went down at Kelly’s Trump Tower Condo in Chicago. Azriel recently moved out of the home and was collecting her belongings. While at the apartment, she encountered her former friend Joycelyn. Azriel began accusing Joycelyn of having sex with her while she was underage.

Joycelyn started to lose it after Azriel accused her and the two got into a physical altercation. Azriel had the cops called to the scene and wanted to press charges.

Police arrived at the scene but Joycelyn had already fled the building. Chicago police confirmed the incident to The Blast, “In the 400 block of N. Wabash Ave. on January 8, 2020 at approximately 2:10 p.m., officers responded to a call of a battery in progress inside of a residence involving two females.”

They added, “Upon arrival, officers spoke with the 22-year-old female victim who relayed that she and a 24-year-old female were engaged in a verbal altercation that became physical when the 24-year-old female offender struck the victim in the face. The female victim and the 24-year-old female offender were engaged in a physical altercation until separated by unknown individuals at the scene. The offender fled and is not in custody at this time. The 22-year-old female victim was transported to Northwestern Hospital in good condition. Area Central Detectives are investigating.

22-year-old Azriel has been slowly changing her tune about Kelly and the entire situation. She stood by side for years, even through his arrests and “Surviving R. Kelly.” She said on Instagram live that he didn’t allow them to watch the documentary and forced them to lie to Gayle King.

Azriel tweet out following Joycelyn’s arrest, “Joycelyn is sadly in jail for assault, I thank everyone for sending me lots of love and prayers. You all will know everything sooner than later. ???”
