The Queen‘s heirloom jewels have a long and storied history. They’re often passed down through generations, or borrowed by other members of British royalty.
Cheatsheet observes that Kate and Meghan borrowed Queen Elizabeth’s tiaras when they got married.
While Kate continues to borrow from the Queen’s impressive stash of jewels, it seems Meghan would rather choose jewelry that belonged to Princess Diana.

Express claims, through a source, that the Queen doesn’t let Markle borrow her jewelry.
If that’s true, then that’s kind of mean.

According to the source, the exclusion is putting a strain on the family.
“This is a surprising situation that has been going on behind the scenes over the past few months and has caused tension and upset, especially for Harry.
It is at the discretion of the Queen and trusted advisers which items in the Royal Collection she chooses to loan out and to whom.”
While the Queen does have final say over who can borrow her sparkly things, it does seem odd that Middleton is often seen with Elizabeth’s jewelry and Markle is not.
Maybe it’s just a style thing?
