While Meghan Markle has tried very hard to fit into the royal family, she has not let go of her California roots and this is becoming a point of contention with royal advisers.

The British press has not been a friend to her, and Meghan and has been criticized mercilessly for everything from closing her own car door (the horror!) to having a very expensive baby shower in New York.

Prince Harry has recently hinted that he and Meghan would like another baby, and all signs point to this baby possibly being raised in the United States along with their son Archie.

On November 6, Harry and Meghan attended a coffee morning for military families in Windsor and they spilled what's been on their minds for the future.

One parent said, "Harry was really quite interested in, you know, how things were with second children as well, as we've both got older children. We were trying to encourage them to have a second baby."

While this doesn't necessarily mean another baby will be coming right away, it does paint a picture of what might be on the royal couple's minds.

In a GQ Magazine interview this past summer, Harry spoke with Jane Goodall about his family plans in regard to the environment saying, "... I've always wanted to try and ensure that, even before having a child and hoping to have children ..."

With Goodall cutting in, "Not too many!"

"Two, maximum!" Harry responded.

It's no secret that the British press has not been a friend to Meghan and this has weighed heavily on her shoulders, especially while she was newly married, pregnant, and then becoming a mother for the first time. It's enough stress to drive anyone straight to their therapist.

In their recent documentary Harry and Meghan: An African Journey, Meghan bared her soul and expressed how hard it's been adjusting to life in the U.K. and within the royal family.

She said, "Look, any woman, especially when they're pregnant, you're really vulnerable, and so that was made really challenging. And then when you have a newborn, you know?"

She continued, "Also, thank you for asking because not many people have asked if I'm OK. But it's a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes."

The royal couple has had a rough go lately in regards to the British press and will be taking a 6-week break over the holidays to get in some quality family time.

They plan on spending Thanksgiving in Los Angeles with Meghan's mother Doria Ragland. This would be the perfect time for them to check out some property without prying eyes.

While this may ruffle some feathers at the palace, some think it may not be a bad idea, even if it would be breaking royal protocol.

Royal sources told Grazia, "It’s not so much a case of 'if,' but 'when' they relocate. It’s an open secret. Meghan is homesick. Her mother, Doria, and most of her friends live in America and the couple both want Doria to have a close relationship with Archie. Interestingly, it seems to be Harry who is the driving force behind plans. He is becoming increasingly angry about the way he perceives the couple are being treated in Britain and wants to escape for a while."

Meghan has already told friends how isolating and lonely it was giving birth without that support system around her.

A second baby could absolutely be the catalyst that finally makes the couple decide to move to California for good.
