Playboy's first bald Playmate says she feels 100% sexier with a shaved head — and you'd be crazy not to agree.
Vendela was announced as Playboy's January 2019 Playmate of the Month and in turn, made history as the first woman with a shaved head to be featured inside the pages of the iconic publication.
The Swedish-born model tells The Blast she made the decision to go hairless roughly five years ago and has never looked back.
"I haven’t tried to grow it back ever since. Honestly, I was just tired of looking like everybody else, and I had been thinking about it for a while before I decided to do it," she says.
Vendela says the choice to buzz her hair was both liberating and also one that made her feel "one hundred percent" sexier. She explains, "I don’t even like to put wigs on. I feel more empowered without the hair. Before, I used to be so obsessed with my hair. If I had a bad hair day, it could almost ruin my whole day (keep in mind that I was a teenager last time I had hair, anything could ruin my day). Now I don’t even have to think about it!"
If the model's shaved head and striking features seem familiar to you, it's probably because you recognize her from your favorite video game. Vendela is actually the model behind "Battlefield 1's" first female multiplayer character.
While Vendela's badass bald look scored her a gig for a massively popular video game and a spread in an iconic magazine, she says her lack of hair has also been a roadblock on occasion.
She explains, "There have been several times when they’ve booked girls with long hair instead of me ... I understand that my look isn’t for everyone. It’s important to stay positive, focus on your goal and power through. You’ll get your 'yes' when the time is right."
