Pink Donates $1 Million And Given Clean Bill Of Health After Testing Positive

By Jeff Mazzeo

P!nk thanked healthcare workers in a big way by donating $1 Million to various organizations after he was giving a clean bill of health.

The singer admitted her 3-year-old son, Jameson and she began to show symptoms of COVID-19 two weeks ago. A test confirmed she did indeed have the virus and she isolated along with her family under her doctor's orders. Thankfully, the star revealed that she tested negative after laying low.

"Two weeks ago my three-year old son, Jameson, and I are were showing symptoms of COVID-19," the "Just Give Me A Reason" artist wrote on Instagram.

"Fortunately, our primary care physician had access to tests and I tested positive. My family was already sheltering at home and we continued to do so for the last two weeks following the instruction of our doctor. Just a few days ago we were re-tested and are now thankfully negative."

Expressing Her Disappointment With The Government

The artist continued her statement and lashed out at the government over their response to the rapidly spreading sickness.

"It is an absolute travesty and failure of our government to not make testing more widely accessible. This illness is serious and real. People need to know that the illness affects the young and old, healthy and unhealthy, rich and poor, and we must make testing free and more widely accessible to protect our children, our families, our friends and our communities," she said.

Generous Donation In Her Mother's Honor

The "Raise Your Glass" singer split her generous donation into two equal parts and revealed that one of the organizations has a special place in her heart.

"In an effort to support the healthcare professionals who are battling on the frontlines every day, I am donating $500,000 to the Temple University Hospital Emergency Fund in Philadelphia in honor of my mother, Judy Moore, who worked there for 18 years in the Cardiomyopathy and Heart Transplant Center," Pink wrote.

"Additionally, I am donating $500,000 to the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Emergency COVID-19 Crisis Fund. THANK YOU to all of our healthcare professionals and everyone in the world who are working so hard to protect our loved ones. You are our heroes! These next two weeks are crucial: please stay home. Please. Stay. Home.❤️"

Her New At-Home Hobby

Despite being sick, Pink kept her fans entertained by sharing her new at-home life on social media with them. Last week, she confessed to giving herself a bad haircut while drinking. She announced that she made drinking an "a sport" since being locked away with her family and hilariously showed off the results of all the training she has been doing.

"When I drink, I get really, really, really brilliant ideas," she said on Instagram. "and last night I got the idea, 'I can cut hair! Why have I been paying people all this time?'"
