50 Cent is mixing patterns in a way that thrills us. By keeping the busy plaid in just the jacket of this Hugo Boss boss look, 50 isn’t overpowered by all the business. Instead of sticking with a basic tie he paired the plaid with a subtle black and white pattern which helps tie (get it?) the whole thing together. The thick white sole of his Paul Andrew shoes anchor the whole look!
Krysten Ritter is a *vision* in silver in this dress by Cushnie Et Ochs. The seams of the gown are admittedly a little wonky but we loved how it felt evocative of a superhero without actually having a cape (and we love capes.) The cool-toned silver also makes her raven-hued hair pop.
Khloé Kardashian refuses to wear traditional maternity clothes and we’re loving her preggo style. In classic Kardashian fashion Khloé is rocking a neutral toned basic skin tight dress and matching duster. She paired the look with lace up boots and tousled curls. She’s totally redefining what pregnacy can look like.
Power suit meets power color meets power gown in this Christian Siriano design on Janelle Monaé. Siriano has an eye for capturing the hard to pinpoint balance between strength and softness that women are looking for in their style. The train of the suit dresses it up so it’s appropriate for the post-Oscar event and we love how it still feels uniquely Janelle.
Is bohemian Jessica Rabbit a thing? If it wasn’t, Gal Gadot just made it a thing. Wonder Woman looks wonderous in this slinky, sparkling crimson Armani Prive gown. When she moved it glistening like liquid rubies.
When you’re Kendall Jenner you can play with proportions and turn them on their head like she did in this Redemption dress. The absurdly voluminous sleeves are actually quite balanced by the skin tight barely-there mini dress. Her hair was done in a sleek lob that brushes the edges of the sleeve also helping to even out the sleeves.
Zendaya was one of our best dressed at the Oscars and her Michael Kors Collection gown at the afterparty was just as amazing. The fishtail shaped gown in a custard color is all about the bead and rhinestone encrusted embellishments. The soft tulle skirt carrying the beading down sporadically and then concentrates them at the hem, framing the look.
She’s got leg! Jenna Dewan Tatum’s dancer physique is made for a slit this high. The artful way the Pamella Roland makes the burgundy gown all about the slit by concentrating the embellishment right at the hip is spectacular. It’s something we don’t usually see and want to see more of.
We would have pretty much given Allison Janney any award just because we love her in this pink Pamella Roland dress. The sexy cutouts and figure-skimming silhouette are stunning on Janney’s tall frame. The matching satin shoes that peak out from the slit were a perfect choice. Love the thoughtful decision to keep her makeup light and soft as to not compete with the bold color.
