The trailer for Season 5 of BBC One’s “Peaky Blinders” is here, and fans of the period drama will appreciate its many twists and turns.
Season 5 will bring viewers back to the 1929 stock market crash, as well as give Tommy Shelby more responsibility for his family and Britain.
The trailer includes scenes from actors new to the show, including Sam Claflin and Anya Taylor-Joy.
“Peaky Blinders” creator Steven Knight says Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) will face rough times ahead.
“Tommy Shelby faces the darkest force he has ever faced and his struggle is as relevant today as it was then.”
Characters from past seasons will return in Season 5, like Sophie Rundle as Ada Thorne, Helen McCrory as Polly Gray and Paul Anderson as Arthur Shelby Jr.
“The story of the Peaky Blinders and of the Shelby family gets woven into the political fabric of Britain and Europe as the 1920’s end and the thirties begin,” Knight says.
